Touché Pastries & More, Section 17

When I was young, my family used to call me "Bread Girl" because of my affinity towards bread. Now, I am 19 years old, and my love towards bread still haven't change. I really don't mind having bread only for breakfast, lunch and dinner #truestory.

And last Saturday, Guan Ren & I found a new place to satisfy my bread & pastry cravings !

Touche Pastries & More is a bakery cafe located amidst the residential area of Section 17, that is just a stone throw area from Jaya One. It is located just next to Decanter (the row behind Bavarian Bierhaus).
The staffs opened the glass door for us and greeted us warmly into this humble little cafe. A pleasant whiff of freshly baked breads & pastries greeted us , making my tummy rumble as if there is a 7.0 magnitude earth quake going on inside my tummy. Ahhh, the smell of freshly baked goods is the best!

The interior was rather homey with an industrial feel- walls painted dark grey, with a side of the walls constructed of rocks with metal wiring to keep it in place, and black tables & chairs arranged in a manner to maximize space efficiency.

Inquisitive patrons can even take a peep on how the breads are baked from scratch through the transparent glass wall separating the kitchen and the dining area.
The part of the cafe which will makes your eyes glimmer and mouth water- the pastry display.
Croissant, Danish, Baguette, savoury or sweet...Touche has em all. I'd love to try each and every one of the pastries, but sadly I'm being intimidated by NUMBERS (calories count & price tag)

Touche also serves all-day breakfast and hot meal such as burgers, chicken chop and so on.
Our order! The staffs warmed it up in the oven before serving the pastries to us :)
From Left- Mushroom Focaccia RM3.50, Ham & Egg Focaccia RM5.50, Sausage Cheese Pastry RM5.80
The Mushroom Focaccia is loaded with mashed potatoes, mushrooms and cheese. The fluffy and herbs infused focaccia was a perfect match to the creamy mashed potatoes and savoury mushroom and cheese combination.
My favourite would definitely be the Ham & Egg Focaccia. Ham, Fried Egg and Mayo loaded on a Focaccia, one bite and I'm hooked. The creaminess and tanginess of the mayo sooth the fried egg which was tad oily, along with the fluffy focaccia and savoury ham, the taste and flavours produced was balanced and perfect.
Sausage Cheese Pastry features a sausage encased in a danish puff pastry, topped with cheese sauce, mayo and chopped scallions. The pastry crust was really crispy, but somehow lacked a bit of buttery aroma but it was alright, as the savoury and creamy cheese and mayo made up for it. Yummy.
Chocolate Lava RM2.80
A layer of crispy danish encasing a rich chocolatey custard fillings. The danish was really crispy and delightful, albeit we made a mess because we had to split the chocolate lava into half, causing the crumbs and crust to fall all over the table because it was staggeringly crispy and flaky- not a bad thing though, I always preferred my pastries to be crispy :)

Danish Pretzel RM3.80
Crisp, warm and rich, brushed with a layer mouth-watering caramel sauce- caramel popcorn lovers will love this. The aromatic taste of caramel perfectly infuse into the crispy danish pastry (which, lacked some buttery aroma too on my opinion), paired up with the crunchy nuts, this was the perfect sweet pastry to end our meal.
