Ode Art Cafe, SS15

When art meets food.
Located at the second floor of the rows of shop lots behind Subang Square, (same row as Herb's n Food, above Watson Pharmacy), Ode Art Cafe has a relatively smaller sign which is harder to notice, so one has to keep their eyes peeled to hunt down this place.
If not, keep an eye out for this black board easel that will guide you up the stairs to Ode!
Quaint, serene, peaceful, tranquil, colourful, creative and relaxing- the words I would use to describe the interior of Ode. Polished parquet flooring, wooden tables & stools that are seemingly DIY-ed yet look so irresistibly comfy , with the addition of grey cushion and colourful polka dots pillows, basked with natural sunlight.

The name of the cafe suggested that various art works will be showcased in the cafe- a delight for art lovers. The owner of the cafe was seen painting using only a spoon and coffee too!
One may also opt to dine in at the balcony area of the cafe, where one will be surrounded by potted plants and basked with sunlight. Be vary though, as it might get a little too hot during midday.

The menu are handwritten nicely and hanged over the white bricks wall behind the counter, where you'll make your order & paymenet.
Cappuccino RM9 and Latte RM9

Tomato Cheese Melts RM4.50
Chopped Tomatoes and melted cheese on a crunchy bruschetta.
Simple and homey- one couldn't complain much, with the price we paid we were satisfied with this simple dish.
Ode's Sausage Scramble RM8.90 & King of Rock Toast RM3.90
Ode's Sausage Scramble features two chicken sausage, scrambled eggs, baked beans, grilled tomatoes and toast. The scrambled eggs were nice & fluffy, grilled tomatoes was grilled to perfection. Would have been better if the baked beans and sausages were improvised to give it some extra flavours that would make it memorable, and perhaps replace the toast with something less commercial :)

King of Rock Toast aka Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich! I'm a big fan of PBB, so I devour this sandwich with smiles on my face.

After a rather pleasant first visit with Guan Ren at Ode, I returned to Ode a few days later with two of my friends and my camera for a casual girly chit chat session.
Our order
King of Rock Toast RM3.90
Just couldn't live without Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich.
Red Velvet Cake RM7.50
Moist & dense, the red velvet cake had a hint of cocoa taste, and complements the creamy cream cheese layers perfectly. Not the best red velvet I've ever tasted, but was good enough to please my taste buds :)
One cannot possibly leave Ode without being artistic..
Ode Art Cafe will be a nice place to hang out with friends, or even have your own alone time, and perhaps for an artist to garner inspiration.
