Dinner at Meltz Cafe, SS15

Last Tuesday, a friend invited Guan Ren & I to have dinner together at Meltz Cafe because she has a RM10 voucher that is only applicable when you spend RM50 and above. It is almost impossible for my friend & her partner to spend above RM50 in Meltz Cafe, unless you have not eaten in a few days/ you have a big stomach capacity, as the portion of a meal at Meltz is huge.
Since Guan Ren & I had a rather memorable experience having their crepe and coffee (blog post HERE!), we thought why not and here we are!
Between 12pm-3pm and 6pm-9pm, customers are entitled to a free drink (choice of smoothie, yoghurt or soda) and side dish (french fries or onion ring)! A steal, eh? :)
Guan Ren & I decided to try out the Passion Fruit Yoghurt. The sweetness was just right, not too sweet nor sourish. A little too much ice for my liking, but definitely a great drink to combat the hot weather.
Spaghetti Carbonara RM16
Spaghetti tossed in carbonara sauce, topped with generous amount of chicken sausages and beef bacon. This was my friend's order. According to my friend, the carbonara sauce was too diluted and bland for her liking.
The Carnivore RM18
1/2 Chicken, 1/2 Beef Sausages, Beef Sauce, Turkey Bacon, Cheese & Sauce.
Each hot dogs are 8" long and weight 120grams, and it is definitely enough to feed two small eater. This was also our friend's order but we get to try some! According to my friend, the beef sausage was rather tough and unpleasant. The chicken sausage on the order hand, was much more tender. I really love the meaty combination of this hot dog. The hot dog could have been better if homemade hot dog buns were used. I felt that the bun is a little too dry.
Mexicrunch RM16
Chicken Sausage, Tortila Chips, Salsa & Jalepeno
If you're looking for something crunchy and spicy, this would be perfect for you. An amalgation of crunchy tortilla chips, juicy chicken sausage, and saucey meat sauce- the different texture of the condiments were definitely enjoyable to my taste buds- although it was a wee bit spicy.

The onion rings served tasted like those supermarkets frozen onion rings- not really my favourite type of fried stuff.

The food at Meltz Cafe still has many room for improvements. But kudos to their big food portion and friendly and welcoming staffs that asked us for feedbacks :)
