MUUGU Garden Bistro & Grill

"you sure we are on the right road...?" Guan Ren asked me, as we drove past some bumpy & cramp road, filled with potholes, amidst construction sites. "yes, yes, don't worry. We're almost there!" I said.

After braving through the horrendous KL traffic and bumpy road, we finally arrived at our destination. A stylish-looking bungalow house, with grey and orange vibrant hue surrounded by a beautifully manicured lawn that comes with free parking. I have to add, as most restaurants in KL have this ridiculous valet parking charge that could go up to RM10.
Muugu Garden Bistro & Grill. A bungalow house converted into a beautiful restaurant tucked in the less travelled road of Bukit Bintang, away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. With the lush green scenery, one could easily forget about their worries and problem here.
We pushed the stylish glass door open, and we were greeted with smiles from the staffs, who allowed us to pick any seat we wanted.
The interior was irresistibly stylish & chic, with a touch of sophistication. Black leather seat & black table clothe adorning the tables, arranged in a manner so that each diner have lots of privacy. The place was basked with sunlight, giving it a lively and welcoming atmosphere. There's even a grazing bar with exposed brick at the back of the restaurant, for one to enjoy their alcohols in a rustic environment.

What makes Muugu to stand out even more? Their pocket-friendly menu. Full menu is available on their website! Guan Ren & I went for the value lunch set, that comes with a soup/salad and a drink.

Yep, available every day from 12-2.30pm, even on weekends!
Choice of drink was coffee, tea or soft drink. Guan Ren & I both went for the black coffee.
Complementary Bread Basket with Olive Oil & Vinegar
Warm & fluffy olive bread to kick-start our meal. A perfect start to our meal.
Soup of the Day
Vegetable Soup served with garlic bread
The soup tasted really healthy, but it was a little too diluted for my liking.
Pesto Pasta with Chicken RM19
By far the best pesto pasta I've ever eaten. Choice of spaghetti/linguine pasta (there was a few more choices but I can't remember them all) , cooked till el-dente, served with the best, thick, flavourful pesto sauce I've ever tasted, topped with shredded cheese & generous chunks of tender & succulent chicken. Recommended!
Catch of the Day RM22
Dory fillet grilled to perfection, served with a side salad. The fish was fresh, tender, and bursting with garlic-y aroma. A delight to my taste buds.
Truffle-Scented Fries RM8
Fries made out of russet potatoes, scented with truffles, herbs and cheese.
I've been dying to try these so I insisted to order this. The fries were irresistibly addictive & aromatic. The aromatic truffle scent left a pleasant & memorable taste on my taste buds. However, be vary that this bowl of truffle fries could feed up to 3 or 4 person easily. As we reach the bottom of the bowl of fries, we felt pretty jelak from the deep fried goodies. But trust me, this is really worth a try :)
OOTD from Malaysia Clothes Buffet :)
Don't forget to get some nice snaps around Muugu's compound!
Muugu definitely top the list of my favourite restaurants. Plus, it's pocket-friendly, there's free parking, food is good, service was great, and the environment was lovely.
