Le Lapin Cafe, Taman Danau Desa

Really excited to finally blog about this place, which I've visited with Guan Ren some time back, after the food review session at Signature Cafearo. However, pictures for this blog post features a mixture of my DSLR, Guan Ren's HTC One X camera & my Motorola Moto G camera because my camera battery went dead...

Guan Ren & I wanted to have tea (tea time I mean, not really a tea person :P) at a nice & quaint cafe. Being unfamiliar with Cheras, we drove to Taman Desa, which was about a 10 minute drive away, to the cafe which I heard, serves the best scones ever.

Le Lapin, which means Rabbit in French, is a cosy little cafe situated at the second floor one of the quaint neighbourhood area of Taman Desa. This cafe is manned by a lovely & friendly lady, which seems to be doing all the baking, cooking, cleaning up & also serving the customers.
Having the cafe named after rabbits, it is no surprising to find little fluffy bunnies around the cafes, like this beautiful mural on the wall, and also these little bunnies statues. (Real bunnies are not available, unfortunately)

Like a rabbit burrow, Le Lapin Cafe is really cosy inside- white walls, with unfinished cemented floor, and nice cushioned seats, Le Lapin is one of those place where you'd wnat to spend the whole afternoon here, whether you're reading a book, or catching up with a friend.

Sunlight penetrates through the glass windows, giving this place a warm & homey ambiance.

Freshly baked pastries that were baked in-situ. Limited amount of pasties are available each day so be sure to come early before it is gone!

The menu
Le Lapin Coffee Ice Cube RM12
Arabic Heart-Shaped Coffee Ice Cube served with cold milk, syrup & two pieces of cookie
You can either pour the milk over coffee, or coffee over milk. We poured the milk over coffee (this could be a riddle) and volia, cold coffee + milk, without having to worry of dilution of coffee because if the ice cube melts what you get is...coffee!
Scones RM7
Scones served with jam & cream. The size of the scones was ginormous! It is even bigger than the size of two scones.
Served warm, the scones was buttery & crumbly, aromatic & fresh. Best scones in KL? Definitely! Craving for it while writing this noo :(
Chicken Pie RM13
Chicken Pie served with a small side salad & chips
The best chicken pie that I've ever tasted. Fragrant, buttery & crispy pastry crust, loaded with hot pipping creamy chicken pot pie filling! I was so full after the food review, but I couldn't help it but to steal a bite after another from Guan Ren :P Yes, it was really that good!

Croissant RM6
Flaky, aromatic, and fluffy on the inside. Rich with buttery aroma which arouses my taste buds. Ahh, I really do love every thing served here!

A perfect place to spend your afternoon, too bad this place is so far from the place I stay or I'd be a frequent customer :)
