Cultura Bakery Cafe, Lorong Kurau Bangsar

"Life is a journey, there is never too rush to smell the coffee and the cakes.."
Tucked far away from the hustle and bustle of the ever-happening Bangsar Telawi, Lorong Kurau welcomes Cultura, a new bakery cafe which took over the famous Poco Homemade about a month ago.
Cultura (derived from CULinary and naTURAl), is manned by a husband and wife team who strive to give the best for their customers. We were welcomed with enthusiasm and smiles as we set our foot into Cultura.
The F&B menu at Cultura. Pretty simple and the price are on the low side. Lunch Sets & Tea Time Sets are also available at a very affordable price at Cultura.
The interior- cosy & homey. Stepping into Cultura made me feel at home. Beautiful, isn't it, this place. The soft soothing music playing in the background calm my senses, as I  settled down at a nice spot to dine in.
The pastry section. We were told that Cultura bakes two batches of pastries daily, but when we arrive at 3pm, most of the pastries were sold out so be sure to be here early to avoid disappointment.

Cultura also sells a variety of health & artisan food such as homemade granola, homemade peanut butter & nuts trails! Perfect for those health-watcher.

Cute drawings on the walls on Cultara.

Cultura's beverage chart. Cultura uses De Gayo beans for their coffee.

Creme Brulee Latte RM10
Guan Ren's order. The Creme Brulee Latte tasted a lot like French Vanilla Latte. It has an aromatic vanilla taste that is distinctive, but it does not overpower the taste of the coffee. The sweetness was just nice, not too sweet, and just sweet enough to put a smile on my face.
Mocha RM10 + Double Shot RM1
Whenever I order Mocha, I'd try to make it a double shot. The Mocha at Cultura was slightly diluted on my opinion, and the coffee tasted pretty mild despite being double shot.
Chicken Mushroom Pie RM5.90
Guan Ren & I came straight after having lunch at La Caroline . We were pretty stuffed but decided to order this anyways because it looks tempting, and it was the last pie on the display. #kiasuglutton

And it was the best decision we'd ever made
The Chicken Pie at Cultura must be one of the best I've ever tried- aromatic flaky crust, encasing the generous warm and hearty chicken and potato fillings. I crave for another chicken pie just by blogging about it right now :(

Mushroom & Cheese Toasties RM9
Pardon the change in background, I was quite hyped out when I found so many nice corners for photos
A simple toasties filled with generous amount of mushroom and cheese
It might be just a simple dish, but it was really very satisfying & heart-warming. The crispy exterior encased the mushroom & melted cheese, which sets to tickle your taste buds as you sink your teeth in it.
Firecracker Sausage RM4.50
I had my eye on this pastry from the very moment we stepped into this cafe. Guan Ren obviously could notice the "spark" in my eye and he bought this before we left =p
Firecracker Sausage is basically a spicy sausage encased in a puff pastry, served with chili sauce. Being a fan of spicy food, I really enjoyed this spicy pastry a lot. Plus, the puff pastries at cultura are just superb- so aromatic & rich in buttery taste.
Miniature Danish, 1 for RM1.60, 3 for RM5
Gluttony me bought 6 pieces of miniature danish, so we literally wiped the shelves clean. Guan Ren took 2 home and I took 4. By the time I popped the third piece into my mouth only I realize, oops I forgotten a photo. So here's a photo of a lonely Minature Apple Strudle that is about to be eaten.

I adored every single miniature danish I bought. That explains why I don't have a photo for em', it was too good for the camera to wait.
Wish to return to this quaint little bakery cafe soon. I loved everything about this cafe, the food, the ambiance, the hospitality, and the moment I'd experienced there.
