Jac's on the 8th, Ara Damansara

Whenever one mentions about food in Ara Damansara, the first place that'd probably cross one's mind is Oasis Square. So today's food post will feature a cafe, not in Oasis, but in Ara Damansara (does this sentence even made sense?)
Jac's on the 8th, is a relatively new cafe nestled in one of the more secluded corner of Ara Damansara. It wasn't hard locating this place. This little cafe is located in the shoplots area that is opposite Tesco Ara Damansara. The bright yellow sign board made it easier for us to spot this place :)
The environment was simple yet lovely. Decorations were kept minimal, yet it had a relaxing & soothing effect. White-washed walls painted with sweet-looking murals, with white tables & chairs + a few contrasting colour chairs gives this place a very inviting vibes.
All food items served in Jac's on the 8th are made from scratch, with no preservative, MSG or colouring added! The owner, Jaclyn, came over and had a chat with us. She's a really friendly & enthusiastic young lady who decided to venture into the F&B after deciding that accounting is not really suited for her.
Can't help but to agree with the quotes hanging around the walls ! :D

The full menu is available on their FB page. One thing you'll notice on their menu is the absence of any deep fried food!
Fruit Vinegar (Cranberry) RM6.90 (Set lunch promo RM8 for a glass of fruit vinegar + soup)
Sourish with a subtle sweet after taste, I enjoyed this drink till the very last drop.
Latte RM9.50

Mushroom Soup RM6.90
Definitely one of the prettiest soup art I've ever came across :)
One could easily tell that fresh mushroom were used to churn out this bowl of soup. Each mouthfull was packed with a delightful medley of mushroom taste infused with the cream. The soup tasted really "healthy" as it wasn't too creamy nor cloying at all, despite the layer of cream on top of the soup.
Egg's Atlantic RM14.90
Baguette topped with greens, scrambled eggs , smoked salmon & sesame sauce
A truly unique & healthy twist from the usual Egg's Atlantic.
I was a little skeptical on how the Egg's Atlantic would taste like because of the absence of the Hollandaise sauce (I mean, fatty food=taste good right?) The Egg's Atlantic served here proved that theory wrong.
The scrambled eggs were done right. Fluffy & rich in butter aroma. The smoked salmon had a aromatic smoky taste which lingers pleasantly on my taste buds. The addition of sesame dressing further complements the dish, creating a balance between sweet and savoury which was a delight.
This is by far the healthiest Egg's Benedict's I've ever came across, and also by far my favourite!
Eggplant & Egg Sandwich RM12.90
Pan-fried Eggplant  & Fried Egg topped with Sesame Sauce, sandwiched between two slices of fresh baguette. Served with a side of green.
Who knew that egg and eggplant could go so well with bread? I truly enjoyed the unique twist of ingredients in this sandwich. A perfect respite from the mundane o' sandwich! I loved how the creamy egg and pan-fried eggplants taste like sandwiched inside the two crunchy piece of bread.

Overall Rating: 8.0/10
Lovely food that leaves us feeling guilt-free, friendly & welcoming service. Would really love to return again to try out the rest of the menu! (Baked eggs seemed really tempting!)
