Lunch @ Upstairs Cafe, SS12

I know, I know, another post on Upstairs Cafe? I've posted my brunch & desserts experience @ Upstairs Cafe. So what's left now is just lunch & dinner. And tadaaaa lunch is now off the list! :D

Spaghetti Bolognese RM9
Spaghetti tossed in a tomato based sauce, served with two slice of baguette. 
Aglio Olio (Vegetarian) RM9.90
Spaghetti tossed in Olive Oil & a meddley of roasted vegetables, served with two slice of thinly sliced baguette.

The Vegetarian Aglio Olio is not available on the menu, but one can request for it at the cashier :)
Roasted Beef Sandwich RM8
Baguette stuffed with Roasted Beef slice, Cabbage, Tomato slice, cheese & spreaded with mayo, served with a side of potato chips.

The size of the sandwich was tad big to fit into my mouth so I had to “dissect” it part by part.

The baguette was nice and chewy. It met the vital crispy on the outside and soft & fluffy on the inside requirement of a good baguette.

I find the beef bacon tad dry but it was balanced up with the slices of creamy cheddar cheese & tangy mayo spread generously across the baguette slice. A simple yet satisfying sandwich :) 

 Red Velvet Cupcake RM5
 We celebrated a dear friend's birthday there on that day so she treated us a Red Velvet Cupcake each <3  Thank you sooo much Rachel!
The red velvet cupcakes had a texture that is more moist, compared to the red velvet cake. The cupcake literally melted in my mouth. The ratio of cream cheese to cake is higher compared to the red velvet cake, but it tasted just nice and it does not feel cloying at all. Each bite was filled with a fabulous sensation of creamy & tangy cream cheese & an aromatic whiff of cocoa. Ahhh...I can't have enough of Upstairs' Red Velvet =) 
Love love love the lighting at Upstairs in the morning. The warm sunlight penetrates through the glass doors, creating a warm & romantic ambiance.
