Bad Boy Cooks, Oasis Square [Revisited]

"I want Fish & Chips"

The statement that Guan Ren gave when I asked if he was craving for anything. It was 8pm and we still haven't had our dinner. The first place that crossed my mind when for a satisfying treat of fish & chips, was none other than Bad Boy Cooks @ Oasis Square.
It's been a while since we last visited Oasis Square. Bad Boy Cooks is still the same as how it was during our previous visits (FIRST VISIT, SECOND VISIT). But the crowd is definitely a lot lesser, or maybe because we were there on a weekday night?

With the recent price hike in petrol, electricity, food price and so on, I got a little wary that BBC might hike the price of their food item but to my delight, the menu & pricing was still the same ! (:

Bad Boy Garden RM6
A medley of shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, sliced tomatoes, butterhead lettuce, and finished off with a choice of BB caesar (caesar sauce), BB island (thousand island sauce) or Ginger & Soy.
For just a mere RM6, I was taken aback on the huge portion of mixed green they gave! It was definitely worth the price paid. However, I felt that BBC had skimped on the salad dressing so the salad felt a little dry :/
 Country Mushroom Soup RM6
The soup had a thick & creamy consistency, with chunks of whole mushroom in the soup! If you're someone who enjoys soups that are creamy, this bowl of soup is definitely tailored especially for you.
Grilled Fish RM10
The fish fillet was really tender. Each bite delivers an aromatic butter punch which I truly enjoyed. I don't know about you but I get mesmerize easily by food sauteed with butter. The distinctive aromatic taste & smell of melted butter is just love!
The mushroom sauce that accompanied the fish complements the dish perfectly. It has a similar taste to the country mushroom soup, but with a thicker consistency and a more subtle mushroom taste.

Overall Rating: 6.5/10
With the price paid I won't really complain much, but I didn't enjoy the food here as much as I did in my previous visits. It is not bad, but not really impressive either. It was just okay. Or maybe I should just stick to the unhealthy options (Tenpura Fish & Chips and BB Dog) because it seems to be their forte. Hmmm
