Dip n Dip, Bangsar

My fourth visit to Dip n Dip in less than six month. (Read about my previous visits HERE & HERE). Since I ordered different chocolate dessert when I visited this place, so why not blog about it right? ;)

Went to Bangsar for a food trip with cousins & brother because one of my cousin is back from Australia :) The foodie blood runs in the family hehe :D
 Triple Chocolate Crepe RM15
The most popular dessert @ Dip n Dip. A thin & soft piece of crepe, covered in a layer of milk chocolate & further topped with white chocolate & dark chocolate.
I must say I was really impressed with the chocolate art on the crepe. How meticulously the leafy design was drawn with chocolate.
Taste wise, it tasted great on the first few bites- rich Belgian chocolate paired up with the soft, warm crepe, what could go wrong right? However, after the first few bites I stopped eating as the sweetness of the chocolate was too overwhelming.
Moccacchino RM15
Uhmm, what's with the coffee art? My first impression towards the drink. But since Dip n Dip is not a cafe specializing in coffee , I brushed it aside, after all, don't judge a book by its cover right?
I got a little too excited when the drink was served and downed it too fast. Got my tongue scalded because it was pipping hot. I was looking forward to a drink rich in chocolate-y goodness like their desserts. The Mocchacchino served here however, was a total let down =( It tasted like those regular 3-in-1 drinks you could easily get from the supermarket. It was diluted, and I can't really taste the chocolate!
 Chocolate Fondant Cake RM13.50
Chocolate fondant cake served alongside with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream
Not really the most appetizing photo but let me reassure you that this dish IS appetizing.
The chocolate used here is less sweeter than the chocolate used in the triple chocolate crepe, thus it was less cloying & much enjoyable for me. The molten & runny texture of the chocolate tempted me to go for one bite after another. The vanilla ice-cream used in this dish tasted...not as great as the chocolate. So we ended up polishing the cake & leaving the ice-cream aside to melt...

Overall Rating: 5.5/10
Truth to be told, I am not so fond of Dip n Dip desserts anymore. The desserts were way too sweet & cloying :S I was really impressed of it during my first & second visit but I grew out of it now I guess. Dip n Dip's dessert is something wonderful to have once in a while, or perhaps once every six month.
