Salute Dining & Wine (by Pommes Frites), SS15

Last Sunday, as Guan Ren picked me from my house to college for our study session as usual, I realize that his car windows were winded down. Apparently, his engine overheated due to a leakage at the engine cooler D:

My dad helped us to check his car's engine for any problem and refilled the engine cooler under the blazing 12pm sun. We managed to make it to college safely at 1.45pm, but the college's guard forbid us from parking inside college. They told us to only park in college at 2pm for somewhat reason we never got to know -.-

Luckily, a new building next to INTI College just opened recently and their parking is temporary free for all.

But by the time we parked the car, our stomach was grumbling and we were sweating profusely as if we just came out from a shower.  Feeling ravenous under the sweltering sun, we decided that we would have lunch in an air-conditioned restaurant. We wanted to have bagels at the Bagel Store opposite Asia Cafe which we heard that it was re-opening in November. Our timing was RIGHT, but wrong...Its official re-opening date so happens to fall on last Sunday... but on invitation only...

Feeling really disappointed, we continue walking down the row of shops and we saw this banner..

Pasta + Iced Lemon Tea/Coke for only RM12?!
Seems like quite a deal! So we entered this pasta shop that is located just next to Big Chomp Burger.
Their el fresco dining area. We, of course, made a beeline towards the air-conditioned area.
Iced Lemon Tea.
Their iced lemon tea tasted homemade so I liked it. Not too sweet at all. Guan Ren didn't really fancy it though.
 Linguine Vongole
Linguine pasta with clams cooked in Mariana sauce
The pasta tasted normal. The amount of clams given were generous and it was fresh, but the sauce tasted really normal. The kind you get from cans at supermarkets.
Carbonara Chicken Fettucini
This was Guan Ren's order. He didn't like it at all. The sauce was made out of canned pasta sauce so yeah..He felt really "jelat" even hours after consuming it so we went to Snowflakes after that to wash the jelat-ness down.

Overall rating: 5/10
Price was pretty affordable, service was pleasant, but the pasta tasted normal.Or maybe because things somehow just went wrong for us on that day. Hmmm..
