Dr Cafe, Citta Mall + #NNPremierScreening Free Birds

Last Wednesday night, Guan Ren and I went to Citta Mall to watch Free Birds as I won a pair of ticket to the premier screening! =D Thanks again, Nuffnang!

I drove there as Guan Ren's car was sent for repair (Read about what happened here). The movie starts at 9pm and we arrived at Citta Mall at about 8-ish so we decided to chill around at some cafe first. I wanted to have a cup of coffee at Baci but it was really crowded so we headed to Dr Cafe!
Dr Cafe, is a coffee chain shop that has a close similarity with those mainstream coffee places in Malaysia. (Starbucks, Coffee Bean etc.) . Their pricing were on par with them too. You could detect the similarities on their menu too! Dr Cafe serves an array of coffee and also non-caffeine beverages such as freshly squeezed juice! Now that's a stand out point ! Dr Cafe also serve ready-to-go meals/snacks like sandwiches and muffins which you can request to heat it up =)
Our drinks. We requested them to serve our drinks in disposable cups so we could just grab and go if we couldn't finish our beverage in time.
Cappuccino (Tall) RM 9
Love the soft, velvety body of the coffee. However, I felt like I was drinking a latte instead of a cappuccino as the ratio of milk was slightly higher than expected.
Steamed Ginger (Medium) approx RM10 can't really remember =S
This was Guan Ren's order. He said he wanted something healthy as he claimed that he had too much junk earlier. The steamed ginger has a very strong and aromatic ginger taste. It was sweetened by molasses, which I find it tad sweet.

Overall, I'd rate Dr Cafe a decent 6/10. It's a good place to chill, hang out or study with comfy sofas and ample tables and chairs.

Thank you Guan Ren for the coffee treat! =)

I didn't know what to expect as I have not heard of this movie, nor watched the trailer. When I messaged Guan Ren to accompany me to watch this movie, he was like "let me check out the trailer first" as he never heard of this show too lol!

Well if you're like us, here's the summary

After years of fruitless warning of his farmyard brethren of the coming Thanksgiving doom, Reggie the Turkey finds himself spared as the annual Pardoned Turkey. However, Reggie's easy life is disrupted by Jake, a fanatic turkey who drags him along with the insane idea of going back in time to make sure turkeys are not part of the first Thanksgiving. Through foolhardiness and luck, the pair manage to take an experiment time machine to do just that. Now in 1621 at the Plymouth colony, Reggie and Jake find themselves in the middle of a turkey clan's struggle for survival. In doing so, their preconceptions of the world and themselves are challenged forever in a conflict from which the world will never be the same

I'd rate Free Birds 7/10
I was pleasantly surprised on how the story went. Yes, Free Birds is a kid show so the ending was kinda predictable, but with the funny conversations and absurd but not-so-absurd things the character did in the movie, I really enjoyed it a lot. It's been a while since I enjoyed an animated kids movie, after Wreck it Ralph =D

Thanks again Nuffnang for the tickets! And also the Free Birds merchandise!

(I got a Free Birds Rubik Cube which I screwed it up currently watching a youtube video on how to complete a rubik cube)
