Pasta Buffet @ Secret of Louisiana , Plaza Kelana Jaya

Photos credit to Rachel Tan Yaya for this post :D
Now, I'm sure many of you has heard of this little Italian-Style restaurant by the lake- Secret of Louisiana.

Yes, this restaurant is famous for it's affordable PASTA BUFFET!
Priced at RM16.50+ per person (About RM18 after tax), you get to enjoy free flow of iced lemon tea, coffee, milk tea, salad, mushroom soup, garlic bread and PASTA too of course :D And on top of that, you'll get a scoop of ice-cream after you finish your meal :)
There's also Country Set Lunch available to those who'd prefer something...not so carb-laden. Each Country Set Lunch also comes with free flow of salad, soup etc. :D

You can choose to dine in their cosy indoor area, or the outdoor area, by the scenic lake =)
Personally, I prefer dining outdoor, with the gentle breeze embracing us. The lighting was also very good, hence the good quality pictures (or perhaps the photographer was skillful? =p *wink wink*)

After we placed our first order, we were served a jug of Iced Lemon Tea :D It was cold, refreshing and sweet :) A pointer from Wei Chen to those who wants to make sure their money is well spent, skip the drinks :P It'll make you feel bloated faster.
Salad :) Really love the tangy thousand island sauce which goes so well with the salad :D
Soup of the day- Creamy Mushroom Soup
The soup was...well the regular soup you get out of a can. Well, I didn't put in high expectation on it as the star dishes of the day are the pastas

Our pastas arrived promptly after we placed our order (except for Leon. He waited for 20 minutes for his Carbonara Chicken as the waiter accidentally messed up his order. The agony.)
Creamy Pesto Sauce with White Fish. This is my favourite among all! :D I really really loved the pesto sauce! It was really creamy and flavourful.
 Cajun Garlic Shrimp
Didn't get to try this ehe
Usually I'd complain if the portion served by a restaurant is small. But not here! Secret of Louisiana serve their pasta in a small portion. No complain from me cause that way I get to try more pasta :D
 Mexican Aglio Olio
The Aglio Olio served here is the best Aglio Olio I've ever tasted. One bite, and the aromatic garlic oil with a slight hint of spiciness that infuses with the pasta lingers in your mouth, tickling your taste bud, prompting you for another mouth full. Almost everyone ordered this pasta.
Spicy Chicken Sausage

 Pasta Vongole
This pasta tasted a little like the Aglio Olio, but the garlic taste is less saturated and this pasta's flavour is enhanced by the sweet clam broth. Seafood lover like me would love this pasta :)
Carbonara Chicken! I loved this a lot too! The consistency of the sauce was just nice, not too cloying, but yet just creamy enough to leave a pleasant and memorable taste. The chicken (real chicken meat!) was also tender and succulent.

Our second serving of pasta took a while to arrive, probably due to the crowd (it was full house at that time) so let the picture roll!

In the end, we managed to try out 7 out of 8 pastas :) The only pasta we did not order was the chicken and olive. Each of us ordered an average of 3 pastas :)

Coffee after meal while chilling by the lake :)

Cookie & Cream ice-cream
Honey Dew ice-cream

SS-ing after the meal :) Thank you Rachel for being the photographer of the day :D
I only managed to order 2 pastas. I made a mistake by drinking two glasses of iced lemon tea (oops), and ordering the cream base pasta at the start (carbonara and creamy pesto). But I get to steal off my friend's plate sooo... =P My friends on the other hand, Wei Qian, challenged a guy friend, Brandon , to a pasta showdown and Wei Qian won by eating a total of 5 plates!
Their pasta buffet is available on Monday-Saturday, 11.30am-3pm :)
Overall , it was a very wonderful place to dine in. Good and affordable food with a picturesque scenery =) It wasn't hot at all dining outdoor, as the wind there is strong and there were shades and umbrella protecting us from the blazing sun. However, please be vary as the wind might..blow things away (I wouldn't want to elaborate what happened in this blog).

Hope to be back soon!
