Yi Cha, SS15

YiCha, a newly opened Taiwanese Dessert Shop around our college area has received many praises from our friends. So, we decided to try it out on a hot sunny afternoon.

Upon entering the shop, we were greeted by a Chinese-Speaking Man (the owner, I think). He (a Taiwanese, I suppose) was really friendly and helpful. He explained to us the menu, asked about our likings and recommended us a few drinks. I decided to go for their signature Mango Slush whereas Guan Ren decided to go for their Grass Jelly slush
Fruity Agar Jelly Slush + Fresh Cut Mangoes - RM8.90
First layer: Agar, Second layer: Ice-blended Mango , Third Layer:  Fresh Cream & Fresh Mangoes
Fresh Grass Jelly Slush + Rainbow Pearls - RM6.90
First Layer: Grass Jelly, Second layer: Can't really remember, Third layer: Fresh cream & Rainbow Pearls

There is even a method of drinking these drink. The owner kindly explained to us that we should start drinking from the top or middle layer to get the most out of its flavour. The bottom most agar layer have to be enjoyed with the middle layer or it'll be slightly bland.
Unlike most bubble tea shop that dub cordial drinks as "fresh fruit juice", Yi Cha uses real mangoes to blend their slush ! It was a really refreshing drink, with a sweetness that is just nice.
The rainbow pearls on the other hand, was really bouncy and "Q" The grass jelly was really refreshing, especially on a hot and humid day.

The boss gave us some vouchers to be used on our next visit! The environment there was really cozy, and the boss even welcomed us to return to his shop to study together anytime!
