Shakespeare Boulangerie & Pâtisserie, SS15

Second Visit!

Shakespeare Boulangerie & Patisserie opened its door to the public some where around February this year. I still remember vividly during its first two weeks of opening, my college mates and I often have lunch at this place as the price can be quite affordable during the opening special discount period.

However, I rarely drop by this place after that as the price is a little too steep for me. There are various lunch sets and deals that is really quite worth it with the ambience and quality of food you get but...let's just put it this way. You'll most likely to bump into me at Mr Rice or the RM2 vegan shop in SS15 Area or in college eating my own lunchbox during college days ^^"

Thus, I jumped with joy when my mum said she'll treat our whole family brunch @ Shakespeare =) I haven't been having Shakespeare in a long long time (The last time was somewhere in May, when we celebrated Guan Ren's birthday)

Shakespeare Boulangerie & Patisserie is under the same management with Ficelle Boulangerie Patisserie and the famous Levain Boulangerie Patisserie at KL.Thus, you'll see some similarities in their pastry & menu =D and it also save us Subang Folk the trouble to travel all the way to Levain

However, the choices of bread here are much less, compared to Levain. But the quality is on par, nevertheless =)

Macaroons & Cakes
My class often buy cakes from here whenever there's a birthday in my class because of their cute design & affordable price. I really love their New York Cheese Cake & UFO!
Packs of sandwich and salad ready to go

Veggie Kingdom RM3.80
Bread topped with Broccoli, Cherry Tomato, Carrots & Potato on a bed of Mariana sauce

You can request the waiter to heat up the bread too!
 Ham & Egg sandwich RM6
The sandwich was simple & lovely, with a layer of egg mayo, chicken ham & crisp lettuce sandwiched between two piece of soft & fluffy bread cut into little triangles.

By adding RM2.50, you can get a cup of tea or americano
Coffee was strong and good =)

Morning Soup Pasta RM7.50
Tasted  like my mum's ABC soup + Pennes + Olive Oil
The portion was really small and disappointing =(

Scrambled Egg Croissant RM8.80
Croissant stuffed with scrambled eggs and chicken ham, served with a side of potato salad and fresh vegetable salad.
This was my dad's order. The croissant was crispy on the outside, warm and soft in the inside. However, the scrambled eggs was too salty my dad couldn't finish it.
Tuna Mushroom Croissant RM8.80
Croissant stuffed with tuna & sauteed mushroom, served with a side of potato salad & fresh vegetable salad
My brother's second order. The morning soup pasta was too small for him lol! The amount of tuna and mushroom was really generous.

 Breakfast Bonanza RM12.50
Scrambled eggs, Chicken sausage wrapped with chicken ham, toast a side of sauteed mushroom, potato salad & fresh vegetable salad
I really liked the potato salad. It was really aromatic, with the bits of bacon chips served with it. The chicken sausage, unlike other processed sausage, was really good! There were hints of herbs and spice with each bite. The scrambled egg was really well done. The toast was thick and chewy too. The eggs were soft and runny, just how scrambled eggs are supposed to be like. However, it was really too salty I couldn't eat em on its own.

The facade of the building that resembles a mini French Fort
Overall, I had a really good brunch here. Really loved the environment which is bright and jolly.
