Nadeje Mille Crepe , PJ Two 3 Square

Mille=Thousand
Crepe=Thin Pancake

Mille Crepe, a dessert originated from France that literally translates to Thousand-Layer Crepe.

The first time I had Mille Crepe was a few months back, during my examination period in college
I stayed back in college with my classmates till late midnight to study for our semester exam.
Guan Ren surprised me by showing up in college at 11pm with half a slice of a Tiramisu Mille Crepe. It instantly cheered me up and lifted my mood and spirit to study.

The second time I had Mille Crepe was during a Sunday afternoon. I received a random call from Guan Ren telling me he is coming to my house to pick me up! He fetched me to his house along with Hoe Nam and we all shared a slice of Cheese Cake Mille Crepe

I visited Nadeje in Malacca during a family trip last month. I was having flu at that time so I could not enjoy the cake fully :( had been really craving for Nadeje ever since then.
Therefore, I was so excited that I am finally able to dine in Nadeje outlet in PJ!

Chocolate & Banana RM9.50
Chocolate & Banana has always been my favourite combo. Nadeje really don't skimp on the ingredients. If you look closely, you'll see bits of banana in the soft layer of cream. The banana bits were small enough to retain the smooth texture of the cake, but strong enough to give the cake a bananananana taste
Double Chocolate RM9.50
This is my favourite among all the three cakes we had that night.
Each layer of dark chocolate crepe is sandwiched between fresh, soft chocolate garnache which was spread evenly. These layer blends perfectly compliments each other well, without being overly cloying.
Cheesecake (alcoholic) RM9.50
Since we couldn't have any alcohol on Kong Hui's 18th birthday we decided to get him an alcoholic cake =D The cream cheese fillings were really smooth and creamy, each bite gives me the melt-in-the-mouth sensation. There was a hint of alcohol in each bite, but it wasn't really strong/overpowering which is a really good thing as I don't really fancy alcoholic stuff.

The price of a Mille Crepe is slightly on the steep side. But bear in mind, to make a Mille Crepe, the baker has to painstakingly make each layer of crepe carefully, not too thick nor too thin. Look closely. Each Mille Crepe consists of layers and layers of thin crepe stacked together, with fresh cream sandwiched in between em'. It's a true masterpiece. The crepe here is so soft and smooth, a light cut with a fork can easily divide the cake into bite-size pieces

I had tried making my own mille crepe before but the crepe I made was too thick,thus I don't mind paying a little extra to indulge in Nadeje's cake
The wide array of crepe cakes available. Their nama doughnuts seems nice perhaps I would try them one day
Thank you, Guan Ren for the effort in driving and planning this night out. And thank you Hoe Nam for the pictures, and also the entertainment for the whole night =)
